Fly overnight aboard your choice of quality airlines to China.

Day 2 Shanghai
Landing in Shanghai, "where East meets West", and transfer to your hotel.

Day 3 Shanghai
Today¹s tours: the traditional Yuyuan Garden, waterfront Bund, acclaimed Museum, and Children's Palace. (B,L)

Day 4 Shanghai/Suzhou
Travel by coach to Suzhou. Enjoy an evening of classical music and dance in the candlelit Garden of the Master of Nets. (B,L,SD)

Day 5 Suzhou/Hangzhou
Today and see silk weavers at work in the Embroidery Institute, before traveling overland to Hangzhou. (B,L)

Day 6 Hangzhou
Enjoy a full-day tour of West Lake and other picturesque sights. (B,L)

Day 7 Hangzhou/Beijing
This morning fly to Beijing. (B,L)

Day 8 Beijing
Your sightseeing tour takes you to the majestic Forbidden City, exquisite Temple of Heaven, and luxurious Summer Palace. (B,L)

Day 10 Beijing/Wuhan‹Yangtze River Cruise
Fly to Wuhan and begin your Yangtze adventure. Arrive on ship and settle into your comfortable cabin. Then enjoy a festive dinner as we depart upriver. (B,L,D)

Day 11 Yangtze River Cruise
We dock today amid the lush, enchanted landscapes of Yueyang and tour the scenic Jungshan Island and Yueyang Tower. (B,L,D)

Day 12 Yangtze River Cruise
This morning visit the colossal Three Gorges Dam construction site. Then sail through rushing Xiling Gorge and the towering cliffs of Wu Gorge. Dock for the night in the riverside market town of Wushan. (B,L,D)

Day 13 Yangtze River Cruise
A day of spectacular scenery features a motorboat voyage up the Daning River to the pristine Three Small Gorges or sail through the beautiful Shennong Stream. Then reboard ship to sail Qutang Gorge, a stunning narrow passage. (B,L,D)

Day 14 Yangtze River Cruise
Explore the mythical "ghost town" of Fengdu or the vibrant Sichuan markets of Wanxian on your shore excursion today. (B,L,D)

Day 15 Chongqing/Xian
Disembark in Chongqing and fly to Xian at the head of the Silk Road. (B,L)

Day 16 Xian
Tour one of the great discoveries of our era, Xian's ancient terra cotta soldiers. Also explore the Provincial Museum, the landmark Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Ming-era City Gate. This evening enjoy a fine banquet and stage show at the Tang Dynasty Theater. (B,L,SD)

Day 17 Xian/Guilin
Fly to China¹s most scenic city. Best known for its immortal stone mountains, Guilin also is noted for fantastic caves, and this afternoon you¹ll explore the finest, Reed Flute, full of oddities and historic treasures. (B,L)

Day 18 Guilin
Enjoy a relaxing, full-day Li River cruise. Dinner and a cultural show complete the day. (B,L,SD)

Day 19 Guilin/Guangzhou/Hong Kong
Fly to Guangzhou, the fabled city of Canton. If time allows, tour the tropical delta scenery and commercial districts, before continuing by jetfoil to glittering Hong Kong. (B,L) 

Day 20 Hong Kong
A half-day tour will present Hong Kong¹s grand panoramas from Victoria Peak; then around the isle to Repulse Bay, Aberdeen, and the Stanley Market. (B)
