Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Tokyo
Arrive in Tokyo, an exhilarating city that despite its western facade retains many traditions dating back centuries. Transfer to your modern hotel located in one of Tokyo's most happening districts Shinjuku. Accommodation, 3 nights:

Day 2 Tokyo
Your morning tour will reveal the sharp contrast of the new and the old of Tokyo. Sites such as the Imperial Palace, the Asakusa shopping arcade and its accompanying Kanon Temple are contrasted against the modern day Ginza shopping area. The balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 3 Tokyo
A full day at leisure to explore the city.

Day 4 Tokyo/Mt. Fuji/Hakone
Yourčll enjoy a luxury motor coach drive to Hakone via Mt. Fuji, including a drive halfway up the fifth station of the Fuji Mountain. Lunch at Hotel Highland Resort and sightseeing in Hakone. This evening you will experience the famous hot spring baths. Accommodation, 1 night: (L)

Day 5 Hakone/Kyoto
This morning youčll take a drive to Odawara for a "Bullet" train to Kyoto Japan's ancient capital. Balance of the day is at leisure. Accommodation, 2 nights:

Day 6 Kyoto
Your morning tour will include the Golden Pavilion, Nijo Castle, noted for its gorgeous interiors, and Higashi Honganji Temple. The afternoon is free to explore the ancient city on your own.

Day 7 Kyoto/Hiroshima
Transfer to Kyoto Station to board a Shinkansen for Hiroshima. After-noon tour visiting colorful Itsukushima Shrine with its torii gate which seems to float above the sea and the Peace Memorial Park which has a museum displaying relics and photos of the A-bomb devastration. Accommodation, 1 night:

Day 8 Hiroshima/Kurashiki/Okayama/Osaka
Take a Shinkansen to Kurashiki. Visit the Ohara Museum or Art and Kurashiki Folkcraft Museum. After lunch, travel by train to Okayama and visit the Korakuen Garden, before continuing your journey by train to Osaka. Accommodation, 2 nights: (L)

Day 9 Osaka
This morning visit the Osaka Castle and Aqua Liner. The afternoon is at leisure, to explore this bustling metropolis on your own. 

Day 10 Osaka/USA
